New Dining Room Breakfront

Reactive color, dewaxed shellac, full colored grain fill, and modified dewaxed shellac that is more UV and chemically resistant. The dewaxed shellac final layers were hand applied and wet sanded. In total 11 layers were applied to achieve depth and glow.

Study for New Build

The wood was sculpted, allowing the soft grain to recede to achieve the aged texture. The finish was built in 10 layers to mimic the age, depth, and patina. Seven layers of color were created using dye, multiple layers of dewaxed shellac, glazes, and finished with 3 layers of custom mixed waxes.
