Study for New Build

The wood was sculpted, allowing the soft grain to recede to achieve the aged texture. The finish was built in 10 layers to mimic the age, depth, and patina. Seven layers of color were created using dye, multiple layers of dewaxed shellac, glazes, and finished with 3 layers of custom mixed waxes.
