In a remarkable collaboration at the award-winning Valdres residence in White Oaks Savanna, Bespoke Finish contributed two significant elements that exemplify the fusion of artistry and functionality in modern architectural design.

The centerpiece of our work includes a striking VeroMetal entry door featuring a custom blue patina finish. This commissioned piece draws inspiration from the works of Mark Rothko and Richard Diebenkorn, with its design reflecting the natural elements of White Oaks Savanna – earth, horizon, and skyline. The metal coating technique creates a sophisticated entrance that serves as both a functional element and an artistic statement.

In the kitchen space, our team tackled the challenge of creating a seamless aesthetic by developing custom wood finishes for the cabinetry that perfectly matched the coloring of the integrated appliances. This attention to detail ensures a cohesive design language throughout the space, where every element works in harmony.

The project, designed by Christopher Strom Architects and featured in the 2023 AIA MN Homes by Architects Tour, showcases how thoughtful finishing work can enhance architectural vision. Working alongside other Minnesota craftsmen, including Redstone Builders and InUnison Design, this project demonstrates the power of collaborative craftsmanship in creating extraordinary living spaces.
